Thankful Thinking

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family, friends, and followers! We are so grateful for each and every one of you and hope you are enjoying your day with the people that mean the most to you! Holidays can be so chaotic with running from house to house, feeling guilty about not being able to see everyone, choosing whether you will spend it with your family or your soon to be spouse’s family, etc. Why not plan a holiday wedding?

Think about it, no running around, no chaos, being with all of the people you love the most in one place at one time, and the opportunity to provide your guests with a fun stress free holiday! Need more convincing? During the holidays, venues are cheaper, planning one year in advance gives you the opportunity to save mega bucks on holiday décor because you know as well as we do everything goes on clearance immediately, and best of all your family and friends already have the time off from work and out of town guests would probably be traveling anyways- so you get the benefit of convenience. Venues are always cheaper on weekdays and this includes Friday. For example, if you wanted to plan a Thanksgiving wedding or even day after Thanksgiving wedding, you would ultimately save a significant amount of money because weekday weddings will save you up to 50% and with the average cost of a wedding being around 25,000, this seems like reason enough! Want to save more money??

Favors for your guests can be considered a wedding trap! Brides are spending a fortune on favors that your guests won’t remember or necessarily want, so why not take advantage of the holiday and tell your guests why you are thankful for having them in your life and for being there to share your special day. These are just short notes so your only cost is paper and printing and you would be able to put several on one sheet. This is personal and will make each of your guests feel special and appreciated all while saving you a pretty penny! Have we won you over yet? Ok, last tip for saving some dough on a holiday like Thanksgiving.

Flower arrangements and centerpieces are extremely pricey but with a holiday like Thanksgiving, you could use things such as leaves, pumpkins, berries, foliage, etc. Check out the photo below for inspiration! Thanksgiving is about gratitude, family and friends, unconditional love, and celebration. Sounds like Thanksgiving and weddings have something in common!!

Does this sound appealing? We would love to help you get started with your holiday Charleston Wedding!
